Guidelines how to prepare a CLUP Base Map in progress A Base Map displays fundamental data sets that can be used to make sector data more meaningful and easy to comprehend. Displaying or analysing the sector data with key geodata found in a base map used as a backdrop, assists the user in making more effective and well-informed decisions. For the preparation, a TWG has been set up with members from HLURB, NAMRIA and LMB. The idea is to come up with the protocols for the preparation and the standards as regard to metadata, content, layout, symbology, color coding, etc. that define the Base Map concept.
